Notes on Wayne’s Round Window

Wayne’s round window: a recognizable feature of his Ostby Road home on Hornby Island, BC. The images below show the progression from its inception in the mid-1980s, through some necessary building updates, to present day. Wayne would frequently invite studio visitors into his home, and this was an often-photographed location.

On Instagram, the artist Lynn Burns notes “I believe he called it his moon viewing window.”
